With the Ministerium für Kinder, Jugend, Familie, Gleichstellung, Flucht und Integration NRW (MKJFGFI) as the training authority for the dual course in e-government/administrative informatics, you can simultaneously acquire IT expertise, work on exciting projects and play a central role in the digitalization of the ministry with its wide range of tasks.

Making it possible to apply for parental allowance or naturalization online, digitizing participation processes and cooperation between the ministry and its contacts at federal, state and municipal level, or even launching an app for refugees - that and much more is what "e-government" means at the MKJFGFI.

In addition to special insights through our pioneering role as a pilot authority for projects to digitize the state administration (e.g. e-file, e-folder) and digital access to administrative services for citizens and companies (e.g. service portal), our ministry offers close support from a young, dedicated team of trainers from the fields of e-government, IT and information security, as well as additional specialist training.

As part of the dual study program, it is possible to gain an insight into the diverse subject areas of the ministry and, after successful completion, there is the possibility of a long-term perspective for working in our ministry.

Through our work, we create trust in measured values, protect consumers and ensure fair competition. Our tasks include the regular calibration of measuring devices as well as carrying out the legally required inspections of calibrated measuring devices and prepackages. We also support small and medium-sized companies as a conformity assessment body when placing new measuring devices on the market. Your points of contact with our work are, for example, the fruit and vegetable scales at the checkout, the petrol and charging stations for vehicles, the electricity and water meters in your own household, the bucket of paint for renovation work - and hopefully rarely the radar measuring system in road traffic! Key future topics for our 300 or so employees include the digitalization of metrology and the expansion of expertise in the field of hydrogen technology.
